AIIA Requests Your Views on the Potential AEEMA Merger

As you are aware, the Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA) and the Australian Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers’ Association (AEEMA) are currently discussing a merger proposal to form a new organisation.

AIIA is holding briefing sessions in all states to provide greater detail and the opportunity for AIIA members to ask questions.

Both AIIA and AEEMA are keen to ensure member companies and stakeholders are well informed and have the opportunity to provide comments and express concerns and ideas about the proposal.

AIIA has already held briefing sessions in New South Wales, South Australia, West Australia and Queensland, with two more sessions to follow.

Victoria: Wednesday, 28 September 2005
Northern Territory: Monday, 3 October 2005

It is important that all AIIA members feel comfortable with the level of transparency and disclosure and this is why we seek your feedback to help shape what promises to be a major step forward in industry representation for our dynamic sectors.

The proposed merger represents a major change for both organisations, but one that is viewed very positively with exciting opportunities for our industry.

Tell us what you value most about AIIA and what you want retained in the new organisation. Email Rob Durie , James McAdam or
Madeleine Strachov or phone AIIA’s Secretariat on (02) 6281 9444.
