CSIRO Tony Benson Award for Individual ICT Achievement
Nominations close March 26

The AIIA is currently seeking nominations for the 2008 CSIRO Tony Benson Award for Individual Achievement in ICT, which recognises the outstanding accomplishments and exceptional achievements of an individual in the Australian ICT industry.
The individual’s contribution can be a single high-impact initiative or a long series of successes and may be in the areas of research, the application of research, commercialisation, business or any field that has delivered substantial benefit to the Australian ICT industry. Previous winners have included Dr David Skellern of NICTA, Craig Winkler, of MYOB and David Merson of Mincom.
The award commemorates the work and dedication of the long-term champion of the Australian ICT industry, Tony Benson, who died in February 2005. An industry stalwart for more than 40 years, Tony set an outstanding example of selfless contribution to Australian ICT industry development.
Nominees for the award are assessed against a stringent set of criteria by a panel of VIP judges from the ICT industry, government, research and educational institutions, and the ICT media in Australia.
If you wish to nominate someone and have their contribution to the Australian ICT industry recognised at the industry’s night of nights, the iAwards Gala Dinner, send a short biography outlining their achievements and contribution to the industry to Lisa Robey by 26 March 2008.
The Tony Benson Award for Individual Achievement in ICT is proudly supported by the CSIRO. |
