AIIA/AEEMA merger talks continue
A joint board meeting of AIIA and the Australian Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers’ Association (AEEMA) has resulted in agreement to continue exploration of a proposed merger.
AIIA’s Chief Executive Officer, Rob Durie said today that last week’s joint meeting had been productive with issues on the functions, activities and future direction of a merged organisation being discussed.
“The two associations agreed to continue to explore the merger, although significant issues such as a governance model for a merged organisation remain to be resolved,” he said.
“Both associations remain committed to the vision that broader representation for the ICT, electronics and electrical manufacturing industries is essential for growth,” Mr Durie said.
