Vacancies to be Filled on AIIA Board of Directors
A total of 7 positions on AIIA Board of Directors will become vacant at the Association’s 2005 Annual General Meeting and the call for nominations is now underway.
Nominations for the vacancies will close at 5pm AEST on Thursday 20 October 2005 prior to the start of voting on 21 October 2005. Voting in the election will conclude on 15 November 2005, two days before the AGM on Thursday 17 November in Queensland.
All CEOs of financial AIIA member companies are eligible to stand for election and to vote.
However, candidates need to ensure their organisation is financial and its membership is up to date. For information regarding membership status contact Goran Josifovski, AIIA’s Membership Services Manager, on 02 6281 9407.
Rob Durie, AIIA Chief Executive Officer, says the elections provide an opportunity for members of AIIA to play a vital role in the work to shape the future of the ICT industry.
“AIIA has always boasted a high calibre of business executives on its board and I am hopeful that the standard can continue into the future, particularly during this time of change and unprecedented growth,” Mr Durie said.
“Becoming a director of AIIA has many benefits, both for the successful candidates and for their organisation,” he said.
“I encourage CEOs of financial member companies to nominate for the Board, and join other leaders in influencing AIIA’s business environment," Mr Durie said.
To nominate visit AIIA’s portal and select the front page link to the on-line nomination form. A summary of the information provided by nominees will be made available to voters during the election period.
