AIIA Members Win ACT Accolades for Exports
One of AIIA’s leading SMEs has been named the inaugural recipient of the ACT Chief Minister’s Exporters’ Hall of Fame Award.
The title has been presented to TOWER Software in recognition of the company’s long-term contribution to the export industry in the ACT and region.
TOWER Software, which is a privately held company with its head office in Canberra and operations in North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific, is a leading enterprise content management provider which delivers electronic document and records management solutions.
TOWER Software’s award-winning solutions allow organisations to manage and secure vital information assets with software which improves the accuracy of information on which business decisions are made.
The software also helps organisations to maximise efficiency by finding critical business information more quickly and easily.
Another AIIA member to win in the recent 2005 ACT Chief Minister’s Awards is GPSports Pty Ltd, an incubatee of AIIA member company Epicorp Limited, the Australian capital region's high technology commercialisation centre.
GPSports is an SME which has made a huge impact on elite sport by realising its vision to utilise GPS technology in sports analysis.
The company sold its first product after 20 months developing prototypes and now has a three pronged approach to its export efforts, the newly released SPI-Elite Product targeting elite team sports such as soccer; the SPI-PB due for release in October targeting the “graded competitive athlete”, and PerfectSession an Internet-based training diary.
GPSports took out the ACT Chief Minister’s Emerging Export Award and will go on to compete against other regional and state winners for the National Export Award in Sydney on 1 December 2005.
