CEOs Reveal the Secrets of Successful ICT Marketing

Marketers in the ICT industry face an ongoing challenge to convert the complexity of technology into straightforward marketing messages.

AIIA Marketing Guide for Smart SMEs

AIIA is excited to announce that the new SME Marketing Guide will be launched at Parliament House in August.

Most marketing workshops, seminars and manuals fail to recognise that SMEs have very different marketing needs to larger companies. Smaller companies rarely have the resources to engage in campaigns on a par with large multinational companies, and often struggle to find information and ideas on how to successfully market smaller organisations.

Recognising the importance of marketing to SMEs and the lack of resources available, AIIA’s Local Industry Action Group (LIAG) has developed this SME Marketing Guide in conjunction with marketing specialists, Porter Novelli and sponsor, WebCentral.

AIIA’s SME Marketing Guide will provide practical advice on a range of marketing, public relations and communication issues. A utilitarian handbook, the guide will offer clear advice on marketing basics and will employ ICT-based case studies to highlight the practical issues involved in marketing smaller ICT firms.

The Guide will also offer step-by-step suggestions and useful templates – such as developing a marketing plan, positioning your product and assessing your competitors – to assist local SMEs to unlock their sales and marketing potential.

AIIA’s LIAG Committee will present the content of the SME Marketing Guide in a series of workshops around the country in late 2005 and early 2006. For more information on the Guide, the events or AIIA’s popular Marketing Forums, visit www.aiia.com.au.
