The iAwards: 15 minutes of fame that lasts a lifetime!
“Our iAward has meant ‘success’ with agencies and organisations which value such awards as a measure of quality and evidence of best-practice.” J. Easterby-Wood, Manager, Interactive Communications & Management Support Services, Northern Territory Department of Health and Community Services
“To have won an iAward in 2005 was a great achievement. It gave us some excellent exposure in Asia Pacific and in doing so, helped to show that we have a product with global reach. We have now been recognised with awards around the globe, which, when mentioned in addition to our iAward win, has meant that people in our local market have taken notice of what we have to offer.” George Parthimos, Managing Director, Torian Wireless Ltd
“Winning the 2005 iAward for the most innovative financial application in Australia has led to an increase in market exposure for Shine Technologies and has further enabled us to prove our passion for excellence and our market position as the best java development house in Australia. It was also extremely satisfying to be recognised by our peers as an Australian leader of technology innovation.” Adam Kierce, Business Development Manager, Shine Technologies
“Being involved in the iAwards process introduced us to a wide variety of organisations at different stages of their own development. We’ve been able to learn from their experiences and share in our collective successes and challenges. The feedback, support and encouragement from those associated with AIIA and the iAwards has been a fantastic reinforcement that we are on our way to being successful. To have won an iAward was a great honour and somewhat humbling given the quality of innovation and talent under review. It really is of enormous benefit to be involved in the AIIA network and we will continue to be part of the various programs and initiatives on offer.” Saul Midler, Managing Director, SecureWrap Pty Ltd
“Since being honoured by the AIIA as an 'inspirational' Australian technology company in 2004, we've grown our customer base significantly, secured capital investment to the value of AUD$18m, and strengthened our partnership with Microsoft, Siemens and IBM. The honour and added credibility of winning an iAward has supported all of these exciting developments for ManageSoft.” Marco de Jonge, General Manager, Asia Pacific, ManageSoft
“While we often win community and charity awards, our iAward was recognition and validation that The Smith Family manages its ICT operations as well as companies in any other sector.” Roger Boot, National Program Manager – ICT Literacy, The Smith Family |

Comments from the Australian 2020 Summit
Over the last 18 months, I have spoken frequently about the need for Australia to build strong knowledge infrastructure - world class broadband, enabling devices and education. This will radically advance the Australian economy by allowing us to overcome the tyranny of distance and compete on the global stage. It will remove barriers to our currently untapped labour force, providing access to people in rural locations, women and others requiring flexibility, people with disabilities and those who do not fit the traditional work model.
I was very encouraged at the 2020 Summit that this need was agreed amongst many groups, including the economy stream, in which I was a participant. I believe the use of technology will improve the quality of life in Australia and make us more competitive. The 2020 Summit reinforced my belief that Australia is a great place for us to live... and the future holds incredible potential.

The Hewitt Best Employers in ANZ study is the largest employee research project conducted in Australia and New Zealand. It provides insights into how organisations can achieve a real competitive advantage through their people and explores what makes organisations competitive in the labour market.
The study also recognises Hewitt Best Employers—organisations selected by an elite panel of judges (chaired by Professor Roger Collins from MGSM) after reviewing a comprehensive range of data that participants provide to us— including an employee opinion survey, a review of people practices, and information about the organisation provided by its leader.
