John Stockbridge awarded Australian Computer Society Fellowship
Earlier this month AIIA National Treasurer John Stockbridge was awarded an Australian Computer Society Fellowship, recognising his distinguished contribution to the field of information and communications technology. John has a longstanding dedication to the industry in Australia and AIIA extends its congratulations on behalf of all members on fitting recognition.
Following is John's citation: "John Stockbridge has made a significant contribution to the Australian ICT industry over the 37 years that he has participated in it. He has been a staunch supporter of the industry in Western Australia. He has started two successful ICT companies; his current one has been in business for 18 years and has produced award winning software in use around the world. In particular John has made a truly outstanding commitment to the industry by being National Treasurer of the AIIA for no less than eight years, and is continuing in that role. This commitment is even more outstanding considering that being a member of the AIIA National Executive incurs considerable time and expense for someone running their own business in Western Australia. He has raised the profile of of the industry in Western Australia and across Australia. Lastly he provided training and mentoring for numerous people over his career, and has done so willingly and without hesitation."
